Minh obtained his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo in 2000 and went on to complete his Masters of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto in 2003. Minh has recently returned home to Ottawa after spending the past 5 years in British Columbia in the beautiful Okanagan Valley. Previously he worked in Ottawa for more than 10 years at a busy manual therapy and exercise based orthopedic clinic. Just out of school, he worked in Toronto at a high performance sports medicine clinic, working with varsity and professional teams.
As a therapist with Canada Basketball, Minh traveled with the Junior Men’s Team to U19 FIBA World Championships and other tournaments in several countries including Argentina, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, New Zealand, Serbia and the United States.
In addition to his experience in sports physiotherapy, he qualified for the Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy in 2010 and was certified as a Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) practitioner in 2011. Minh has assisted in the instruction of the postgraduate manual and manipulative education program of the CPA Orthopaedic Division and continues to mentor fellow physiotherapists.
Minh believes in using manual therapy to address joint and soft tissue restrictions, while emphasizing patient specific exercises to address muscle imbalance and motor pattern dysfunctions. His goal is to optimize the recovery process for his patients and provide them with a foundation for injury prevention.
His personal involvement in sports and recreation include running, road and mountain biking, hockey, alpine and cross-country skiing.
After completing a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Western Ontario (’82-’85), Suzanne returned to Montreal and was admitted to the Physiotherapy program at McGill University. She graduated with Honors in 1988 and, in search of new horizons, packed her bags and moved to Ottawa, Ontario. She began her career at the Civic Hospital, rotating through the various departments, and subsequently moved out into the world of private orthopaedic practice, working in a variety of clinics in Ottawa, Carp and St-Jerome, Quebec.
In 1992 Suzanne founded Killens Reid Physiotherapy Clinic with friend and colleague, Louise Killens. It proved to have been a wonderful collaboration between two like-minded women that grew and flourished for 29 years!
Between the period of 1992-1998, Suzanne studied part-time at the Canadian College of Osteopathy in Toronto where she completed the course of study in traditional osteopathy. This knowledge and philosophy have deeply shaped Suzanne’s manual practice and allowed her to incorporate cranial and visceral techniques, as well as the more traditional manual therapy, into her treatments. An avowed life-long learner, Suzanne went on to complete Levels I/II of the Kinetacore Functional Dry Needling Program and Levels 1-5 of the Pelvic Health Solutions pelvi-perineal rehab. Women’s and Men’s pelvic health have become a key area of interest in Suzanne’s practice and she looks forward to the continued growth of the Pelvic Health program at the clinic.
In 2015, Suzanne embarked on an 8 month Certification and Clinical Mentorship in the Integrated Systems Model taught by Diane Lee, PT (www.dianelee.ca). It proved to be an incredible journey of learning, growth and new friendships!
In 2021, Suzanne began an online certification in the treatment of peri and postmenopausal women. She hopes to continue to be a source of motivation for her clients so that they may live their ‘3rd age’ with optimal health and wellness.
Suzanne lives in Cantley, Quebec with her husband and two sons. When not at the clinic, Suzanne is a multi-sport athlete who enjoys cross-country skiing, open-water rowing, cycling, hiking, hot tea, good wine, books and any and every chance to be in the great outdoors.
Eric obtained Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Kinesiology and Sports Medicine from Laurentian and Lakehead Universities. He then completed his Physiotherapy degree at McMaster University in 2001. After years of subsequent training Eric received his Diploma in Advanced Manual & Manipulative Therapy, thus is a Fellow with the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT).
Since joining in 2006, Eric loves being part of the Killens Reid team. He focuses his patient care not only through his Manual and Exercise Therapy, but also by several other methods: Having become a Functional Dry Needling Practitioner™ (see kinetacore.ca), Eric finds that his patients get even better success in achieving their functional goals and symptom relief. More recently, he has added Visceral Manipulation (see www.barralinstitute.com ) which he realizes was the missing link in treating patients’ complex symptomatology. He has extensive experience in dizziness treatment and received his Certification in Vestibular Rehabilitation from Emory University in Atlanta. He is thus able to distinguish causes of dizziness and balance problems, and treats with repositioning techniques, adaptation / habituation / balance / vision exercises, plus manual therapy to the abdomen, neck and head. Also, following additional Concussion Rehab courses, he can effectively tease out different factors contributing to post-concussion syndrome, and treat them accordingly. Finally, his training in Running Injury Prevention and Treatment has simplified the return-to-run process.
Eric is licensed to practice physiotherapy in Ontario and Québec. A former Canadian Cross-Country Ski Team member, he still keeps in shape with his family by skiing, cycling, running, swimming, paddling and singing!
As a physiotherapist and yoga teacher, Natalie’s goal is to provide one on one physiotherapy services to clients in a supportive and compassionate setting. She believes that successful rehabilitation requires a thorough assessment, proper communication, engagement and thoughtful treatment planning. In order for optimal recovery to occur, the whole person and the whole body need to be taken into account.
Natalie spent the first half of her career working in private practice with a focus on orthopaedics, work and sport related injuries. In 2013, she began working in cancer rehabilitation and lymphedema management. There, she discovered her passion for helping men and women who are living with cancer manage side effects related to treatment. Natalie soon discovered that many of her oncology clients were struggling with pelvic floor dysfunction and pursued additional training to be able to better serve this population.
Within her practice, Natalie uses a combination of manual therapy, joint mobilization, myofascial release, Gunn IMS/trigger point dry needling and exercise and movement rehabilitation. Each treatment plan is individually designed with her client’s goals and values in mind.
Over the years, Natalie has pursued post-graduate coursework in several areas in order to hone her skills and update her knowledge base. This allows her to be more focused and helps to provide a more individualized treatment plan. Natalie has pursued extensive coursework in manual therapy with the orthopaedic division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, myofascial release, Gunn IMS dry needling and pelvic rehabilitation. Natalie is a certified Lymphedema Therapist through the Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy. She is an authorizer with the Assistive Devices Program (ADP) for both compression garments and walkers.
When not practicing, Natalie enjoys spending time with her two children, husband, dog, family and friends.
She balances her busy life by remaining active. She enjoys running, cycling, pilates, yoga and strength training. But to truly unwind, she finds her real calm when outdoors and behind the lens of her camera.
